There doesn't seem to be a single overview of the expected monthly running cost of my application. Only what it currently costs hourly and there are monthly calculators for everything (app, services etc.) seperately but no "this is what we expect you to pay a month" number.

Yes, this'd be really useful.

To get that now I have to go into each part of the application on the dashboard, and make notes - eg, ok its 11 for the db, 12 for reddit, 23 for the app, etc etc.

One clear headline number that aggregates these on the dashboard would be great

Isn't this what you guys mean? I do like to enhance this part, but I wonder if we don't have it already albeit it might be better to have a single overview voor all apps in once.

That looks great, I almost never use the applications page so completely missed it. The three dots menu on the dashboard is different from the applications page.

However, isn't the scheduler missing?

When calculating myself:

  • App: 5,94
  • Scheduler: 5,94
  • MySQL: 11,88
  • MySQL volume: 30*0,29=8,70
  • Queue worker: 5,94

Totals to 38,40 not 32,46 which is exactly the scheduler not accounted for. Have a very simple app so can't comment if anything else might be missing.

Yep you're right! I will add:

  1. An overview page like this modal with all your applications in that team
  2. Add the missing scheduler service

Scheduler costs has been added to that modal!

Also, a global overview, is this clearer?

@Dennis Is it possible that some services are incorrectly shown here in terms of pricing? In this case Inertia and SFTP are part of the base application right? In the actual billing they are not shown, so I think this is only an issue in the cost estimations.

SFTP is a free service, it's not being charged. InertiaJS is being charged, 11,88 extra per month.

Or was I missing something here? 🙈

Ah sorry, i thought Inertia was included in the web application, but i see now it's a separate instance and you can scale the resources after adding it. I got confused because with other services you see the resources and scaling straight away when you add them.

The SFTP is free, but in the cost estimation it shows with the same price as the web application (in my screenshot the bottom service), and it's included in the total.

Awesome find! I can verify this was wrong indeed.

SFTP is a free service, and you've never been charged for that, that part was good on our side.

What wasn't good was the UX side where we showed the charges for the SFTP service which isn't normal. I just issued a fix, can you check?🥰

Great, yeah it displays correctly now, thanks! Was not a big deal since it wasn't charged but it avoids confusion :)
