Statamic Git Automation does not seem to work async right now.. My application uses a Redis queue and a worker, and I'd like auto commit and auto push with a delay. All standard Statamic features.
The CommitJob runs on the worker and finishes (DONE), but nothing gets committed, and the change stays listed under Utilities > Git.
It works fine with STATAMIC_GIT_QUEUE_CONNECTION=sync, so the Git connection is definitely working.
Perhaps the worker is running in a separate container that can't see the web container's files?
In the meantime I see you have changed the STATAMIC_GIT_QUEUE_CONNECTION to a deferred driver, that is indeed the prefered way to solve this. That said, we understand that this is not always possible so on top of that we have added our own automation to push in the background. To make this work set `STATAMIC_GIT_PUSH=false
