Currently the basic authentication option applies to all app URLs, domains etc..
This makes it unfortunately practically unusable for my cases, as I will always need api access to my staged apps. Note that it depends on the app where the api lives. I.e.:
- api.domain.com
- domain.com/api
It would be very helpful if I could either apply the authentication more granularly or provide exclusion paths, whichever is best for UX.
Context: I rely on basic auth to protect against getting indexed/scraped.
We decided against supporting this for now because of complexity it would add for a basic auth which is supposed to be simple and straight to the point. In this case we would recommend to either use 2 apps or move the authentication into the application itself.
