When MySQL runs out of disk space the first sign was for me that queries kept hanging. My first though was not to see if MySQL ran out of disk space but eventually I was able to find this in the logs of the MySQL service. It would be a very good addition if things like this will also show up in the "Debug" tab and possible even be a monitoring thing since running out of disk space has the potential to corrupt the database. So it would be great if early warnings can be shown and if the user let it come that far it's clearer from the UI then just in the logs of the MySQL container.
Edit: I did receive a 80%+ storage used e-mail once. I feel like there could be a few more especially if the storage keeps increasing and/or UI warnings in overviews.
Maybe this is a bit more then I can expect but this feels correct for managed databases to be clear about to the user.
In my case this was MySQL but I can imagine this goes for every other type of database you offer too ofcourse.
Merged Get more usage notifications into this item \n\n Created by: Dennis van Dalen \n\n I vaguely remember getting a notification at 80%, but it would be nice to get them at different thresholds as well, like 80, 85, 90, and 95%. Or setting your own?
I just randomly noticed my resource was at 95% storage without realizing it had already gotten that high.
